A Cherokee Trace field trip is a wonderful place to have fun learning!

You are welcome to do a self-guided trip through the park. Bring your own lunches for your group.

What do I need to know?

Price (Includes animal food and all-day admission to the park)

Groups of 15 or more Groups of 50 or more
Adults - $12.00 / per person Adults - $10.00 / per person
Kids - $7.00 / per person Kids - $5.00 / per person
   

How soon do we need to reserve?

Give us 72 hours notice if your group is larger than 50 people.

Are there any special rules that my students should follow?

Rule number one...HAVE FUN!!

  • Have your students prepared to listen well.
  • Students may not feed animals out of their hands. Food should be dropped on the ground.
  • Each admission includes one bag of animal food. Students should be aware that once they run out of food there is no more available.
  • Student may only feed the food provided by Cherokee Trace.
  • Students should be respectful of the animals. When feeding, they should toss food on the ground not at the animals.
  • Students should be respectful of the property, putting trash in the provided receptacles, etc.
  • Students should be respectful of Cherokee Trace Staff, following instructions for hand-washing and restroom visits, etc.

Can parents come on safari too?

Sure! Anyone you bring with you will receive the discounted rate - even if they drive their own vehicle through the park.

What can we expect when we get there?

Our friendly staff will greet you and show you where to park your bus(ses). You should assign one person to check in at the Welcome Center to pay for all the students and teachers in your group. Everyone should arrive at the same time. Anyone who arrives after check-in will be charged regular price. Our staff will assist in distributing the bags of animal food to the kids on the busses.
