Pre-visit Activity 3rd grade (Adaptation)

Have the class brainstorm some animal adaptations that allow them to thrive in certain habitats that other animals would not (possibly) survive. For example – camels have large, flat feet that allow them to traverse the desert – a deer would not do as well. Discuss coloration for camouflage, etc.

During your safari, our guide will point out some general animal adaptations as well as adaptations to our particular environment.
