Guest Services Staff

Accountable to: Guest Services Manager

Essential Responsibilities
General duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Opening and closing Welcome Center/Gift Shop
  • Setting up and balancing cash drawer
  • Handling sales transactions and operating Point-Of-Sale software
  • Greeting guests in a friendly, courteous manner
  • Answering the phone
  • Provide accurate directions, pricing, group opportunities, etc.
  • Keeping shelves consistently stocked and neatly organized
  • Keeping Welcome Center/Gift Shop clean
  • Conducting inventory at Guest Services Manager's discretion
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of Guest Services Manager

Ranch Hand

Accountable to: Park Foreman

Essential Responsibilities
General duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Landscape work (mowing, weed-whacking, etc.)
  • Daily, Weekly, and Monthly tasks — such as keeping the Welcome Center supplied, trashes emptied, porch and picnic area clean and free of trash and tree limbs. (A weekly and monthly list will be provided of the routine tasks).
  • Painting, staining and general upkeep of all buildings
  • Routine maintenance of all park vehicles: trucks, tractors, etc. (This involves checking oil and hydraulic fluid levels, grease when needed, etc.) The employee will also be expected to assist in annual maintenance tasks.
  • Learn to identify all animal species
  • Perform all tasks assigned in a reasonable time frame. This includes routine tasks as:
    • Running the fences on four-wheeler for predator detection and fence damage
    • Assist in feeding and care of animals
    • Cleaning up downed trees and limbs (building burn piles)
    • Aiding the Ranch Manager in any and all tasks that present themselves in the course of the Parks daily operations.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the Park Foreman
